FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. How do I get embryonic to autoload when I start BitchX?
Make a file in your ~/ directory called '.bitchxrc' in this file type the
following:
	eval load $HOME/em/em.bx
Then next time you load BitchX, embryonic should autoload.

2. Why does embryonic crash on me when I try and load it?

embryonic is only compatible with BitchX versions 74 and higher. So if it
doesn't load, then check your version of BitchX. If you have the current
version of BitchX and embryonic still wont load make sure that BitchX was
compiled correctly on your system. We have had some reports of script
failure on Digital UNIX releases. If you still have questions about this
please find void on irc or email him at hellfire@liii.com

3. How come it takes forever to load embryonic?

embryonic loads at different speeds on different machines, we are sorry if
you have to wait 20 seconds because you have a 50mhz computer. There is
nothing that can be done about this, although we are looking into it.

4. Why does it take so long to display the channel list?

This is more or less a server thing, if your computer cant sort through
text and organize it quickly then the output of the channel list will be
slow. Another factor of this is the speed and lag of the irc server you
are connected to.

5. Can I copy portions of your code?

Anyone may copy portions of my code. But please give credit where it is
due. And of course I didn't write all my code, so any code that I copied
please give credit to the original author.

6. Where can I get future versions of embryonic?

You can get the most timely updates via irc, #BitchX or #embryonic. You
might also want to check out http://www.drow.net/embryonic/ for the
website and further information.

7. How can I help?

You can help by informing me of bugs and other things that you would like
to see in the script. Anything can be helpful, and also your input on new
additions are a major factor on there existence in later versions of
embryonic.

8. Why wont XYZ work?

If you are having problems with a certain function of embryonic please
find void online and let him know your os version, bitchx version, and
other system variables; having these will help him in the quest for an
answer to your problem.
